Latest CNN poll: Obama 50, Clinton 46 in Texas - statistical dead heat

In the CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Monday, 50 percent of likely Democratic primary voters said Obama is their choice for the party's nominee, while 46 percent backed Clinton.

But taking into account the poll's sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for Democratic respondents, the race is a virtual tie.

If Obama wins big then Clinton will be out. Even she will have to face facts and get out. But if they tie that means there will be no clear winner. Neither will have enough delegates to win outright. That means they will have to resort to "other" means. Clinton would try to seat the FL and MI delegates. That will totaly pizz off the Obama supporters. Or Obama will win by using the Superdelegates. That would totaly pizz off the Clinton supporters. At the very least they would go for each other throats in an attempt to gain every last delegate. At the very least it would enable McCain to stand back and let them kill each other without getting his hands dirty. Your darn right it would weaken the dems in the election.
