I have a letter for fingerprints appointment this month in KC, MO at 2 pm. Does anyone know how long does it take for the whole process b/c I have to come back to work at 5?

Enter 1997 F-1 visa

married to USC November 2005

Dec 21 05...sent I-485 and I-130 to Chicago

Jan 04 06...received NOA for both I-130 and I-485

Feb 21 06...Biometrics appointment (only take me half an hour for the whole process)

Mar 25 06...Received a letter for an interview appointment on May 18, 2006

May 18 06...Interview Approved (but no passport stamp, must wait for Welcoming Letter in order to get passport stamp)

May 22 06...Received a Welcome Letter

May 30 06...Green Card Arrived :-) expired May 2008

Feb 26 08...sent I-751 to Nebraska Service Center

Mar 04 08...check $545 cashed

Mar 08 08...received NOA I-797C

July 17 08...10 yrs GreenCard Arrived

It was 1 hr wait for me plus about 10 min for the process itself.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

It took around 15 minuts for me... I waited about 5 minuts and everything was done around 10 minuts...

10/19/04- K-1 Petition sent do CSC

10/25/04- NOA 1

01/14/05- NOA2

02/10/05 - package 3 received

03/22/05 - package 4 received

03/28/05 - Medical Exam

05/11/05 - interview

07/16/05 - Wedding in Port Angeles, WA

08/19/05 - Medical Exam (again) - vaccination record

09/14/05 - Adjustment application received by USCIS

09/19/05 - NOA 1 for I-485.

10/28/05 - Received Notification for Biometrics

11/28/05 - Biometrics Appointment....

12/15/05 - Received NOA- case transferred to CSC(Laguna NIguel)

01/27/06 - Green Card approved

02/01/06 - Notification letter received by mail

02/03/06 - Green Card received by mail

The first time, for EAD, it took about 1 hour waiting and 5 minutes to do the fingerprints. For the AOS it went much quicker even though they did full set of prints and picture

It probably depends on the office and time of day.
