We got my REF today and it says:

"Request for Evidence

Note: You are given until MAY 14, 2008 in wich to submit the requested information...

CERTIFICATION OF GOOD CONDUCT: The applicant's fingerprints have been twice rejected as "illegible". Additional evidence is required to continue processing the adjustment of status application. Please provide a letter issued by the local law enforcement agency (County Sheriff's Office or Local Police Department) indicating the applicant has "no criminal record." The record search should include all the aliases (all other names) the applicant may have used in the past. A separate letter is required for each law enforcement district in wich the applicant has resided during the previous five years."

Did anybody get this kind of RFE? Can I send a Certification of Good Conduct from State Police? I can get this document online (the same way I got this document for my interview in 2006). Plz, if someone knows something reply me!

P.S. My fingerprints was taken 3 times.

Never heard fo something like that, but perhaps your fingerprints are not as easily read as others. You could go to the police detachment and ask for a name check I suppose, provided of course that you do not have a criminal record. Hopefully someone with more experience will chip in here.

Thank you! Yep, I just called immigration and she said i have to go to the local police here and ask them for this document. She said they may take my fingerprints. With this document they can be sure I have not commited any crime since i got here.
