Hi,

We are from Brooklyn, NY.

We sent our I-751 application on Jan 24th to VSC and they received it on Jan 28th. Our check was cashed on Feb 4th and NOA1 letter (1-year GC temporaty extending) was received on Feb 6th in the mail.

We are looking forward to receiving Biometrics Appt Letter but not sure usually how soon they send it to us.

Just wondering if there is anyone which is also from New York City recently sent their I-751 around the end of Jan? Did you get your Biometrics Appt Letter yet?

Thank you,

Wil

Thank you for letting me know.

You got your biometrics appt letter 3 weeks after you got your NOA1. The appt is usually set for 1 month later.

I hope we could get appt letter in 3 weeks after NOA1 too. I’m counting: Feb 6th plus 21 days. Hopefully I will see it in the mail on Feb 27th or within Feb…

We plan to go out of the country by Mid-April for 2 months (returning in June). So we hope the fingerprint can get done before we leave. If the letter doesn’t come by Beg-March, we wouldn’t have appt in April. We wish we could be lucky to get the letter soon…

Does anyone know if we can require to expedite biometrics appt? I don’t think it’s possible though…

When you get your biometrics letter, there is a section where you can reschedule your biometrics. My guess is that USCIS will push the date OUT rather than moving it closer..

I had my bio very fast, I am in the Bronx, they just opened a new Application Support Center here last year. I remeber from AOS thet you can try to reschedule the Bio to a different office, then it may be earlier. But you first need the letter and you should be getting your letter soon :)

Thank you everyone for sharing your information.

We still haven't received appt letter yet. I think NYC is always slower. 'Mawilson' received theirs in 40 days after NOA1. I wish ours could be earlier than that...

I will try calling to reschedule the date after i receive the letter. But most likely it will be pushed out instead of moving it closer just like "Skoopie" said.

Do you know if we go out of the country, carrying NOA1 and passport is enough? Do we have to get a stamp on the passport called "551" something like that? We definately will come back after the 2-year green card expires.

Thanks.

No man - I received my NOA1 on Jan 31 and the biometric appointment letter on Feb 8 (see my posts here and here).

Feb 25 was the date of my biometric appointment.

We just received the appt letter yesterday!!! So happy!

The appt will be next Saturday Mar 8th. We are surprised. ASC opens on Saturday? Do you know? Maybe they mistyped the date?

Congratulations, wil!

It's quite possible they are open on Saturdays, I don't see why not.

Which ASC did they send you to? I wonder if it's the same as mine (West Houston & Varick St in Manhattan.)

Good luck!

Thank you, Mawilson.

Ours is in Brooklyn. I guess it's because we live in brooklyn. We had it here last time too.

Government facilities usually close on weekends. Just a little bit wondering. I hope they have the correct date for us...
