I began the process in December 2006. My husband and I have made it past the interview stage and are now in Administrative Processing (certain nationalities have extended AP processing wait times).

Anyway, I wanted to know what the expiration date is on our CR-1 application....When does the countdown start? From the moment your case is transferred to the National Visa Center? Or when you file I-130 or when it is RECEIVED/APPROVED by the USCIS?

Thanks.

There is not expiration on I-130 petitions.

For example: A US citizen can file an I-130 for a sibling, and then the petition will take YEARS (5-20) before interview at the consulate.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Nutty,

Not to worry! The CR-1 does not expire. Yes I filed for my husband in december 2006 as well and I was thinking about it, no theres no time line or deadline for it. Plus its the embassy that keeps spitting out these checks and DOS having to complete them, even if there was a expirationd ate i would be ridiculus cause its for them that its delaying. I mean we would be MORE THAN HAPPY if this process was over and our husbands would come home!

Still AP huh? Hm...me too. I wish our cases will be cleared soon.

I pray for us

Tammy

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.
