Hello,

I am not sure I can help because I am missing some information it seems.

No matter where you filled the application in, you must have received a NOA 1, a case number for your application.

If you are applying directly at the US embassy in the country where you live, then I suggest you reapply if your case has been "lost". Usually direct embassy filling goes a lot faster than the usual way and it should not take you too long to get approved. It should in fact take you less time to reapply than to continue tracking down your first application which seems lost anyways.

Good luck!
