Those were the contents: what she said in it, in her words or yours, it doesn't matter. I know what she was doing was vile (kicking someone when they're down? Yikes, now that's poor taste), but betraying the contents of a PM is also not OK.

Yea, well this whole forum is TOS violations day in and day out...but its only called out when someone wants to whine about it.

And no one had a prob with H_A kicking Lisa in this time, but instead you all focus on a PM i mention...wow,

I don't think anyone has kicked LisaD while she's down. I think everyone has been amazingly supportive up to this point. What I do think is that "we, collectively, and individually "earn" the respect of others by our own behaviour". LisaD anticipated monstrous thoughts of others, which is vile. If she ultimately gets a little flack, well, she can only blame herself. You can'd dish it out all the time, and not expect to see some return. But all in all, aside from my direct comments, I think all other members have been total angels :innocent::lol:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Some of you are too much. If someone reads something as veiled or unveiled doesnt really matter. The way someone interprets a post cant be controlled by the writer. I have been called lots of things here and dont really give a shite.

Some here can dish it but when they get it back in their face they go running to the mods to complain and try to get them kicked.

I personally have never reported anyone for this and never will. No one has written here they were happy to see Lisa and D break-up. But I can gaurantee you there as been internal laughter about it from some! These people know who they are.

Lisa is one of the most squared away people on here imo. Thats precisely why she isnt liked by a few here. The envy of her strength is evident, the weekness of others here is also evident. I have seen her silence many here with the written word.

Maybe H_A felt justified! As I read it, it appeared H_A thought that someone else had taken the first jab, and anyway, let's not forget that LisaD opened up this whole line of discourse herself with the preamble she wrote. Frankly, I feel for her emotional turmoil for whatever clandestine reasons that LisaD's journey is over. Can you say "drama"? (I used to chuckle when she'd imply that I always tried to have the "last word" and I thought, "Wow, that's a backhanded compliment, if ever I heard one")

Notwithstanding, I thought LisaD's veiled insult directed at anyone that she thought it might apply to was really out of line, distasteful and rather rude. However, it's said that some people partake in "projection" so I just chalked up her comment to that.

OK, I guess THAT'S what I'd call "kicking someone when they're down."

Wow.

Geez, I should hope that people who choose to respond to her difficult news would be nothing but supportive. There's nothing to gain by continuing past spats in a thread like this. A little respect, even if it's in the form of biting one's virtual tongue, is all that's needed.

Biting my tongue hurts, therefore I just say it. :innocent:

Wow.

Not at all. Explain to me why LisaD would even think that someone would take pleasure in her misery? Isn't it unfair for her to think for others, let alone write it here for all to see?

My comment was simply that when I first read her post and the final sentence in it, I thought "Wow, that's a pretty dark way to think of other members" but quite possibly maybe the reason she anticipated some negative attitudes is perhaps because this is the way she might think. You have to agree, it is plausible.

Taking pleasure in someone else's misfortunes is, I would hope, not the sort of thing that most people would buy into - regardless of whether you get/got on with them or not.
I agree.

I would say that the vast majority of people read that comment in the OP post and ignored it, thinking (I would assume - and indeed speaking for myself here) that it was simply a product of the emotional stress of the situation.

I wouldn't (and didn't) take too much from that.

True...but the same should apply to any responses. Some people are far more private about things going on in their lives than others. It would be wrong for anyone to simply assume that a person "could take it" just because they hadn't hung out their personal life for all to see. It's simply a question of respect for others and to do unto those as you would have them do unto you.

It was her recognition of the fact there are people here that didnt care for her.Plain and simple, its not complicated at all.
