I think this is one of those things where it would do well to let it drop - and not get into the semantics of who mean't what (or not) and who likes who (or not).

It doesn't really serve any purpose - and it casts an ugly light on things, not least - all the other positive, well-intentioned comments people have provided.

I would say that the vast majority of people read that comment in the OP post and ignored it, thinking (I would assume - and indeed speaking for myself here) that it was simply a product of the emotional stress of the situation.

I wouldn't (and didn't) take too much from that.

It was her recognition of the fact there are people here that didnt care for her.Plain and simple,its not complicated at all.

That is over simplification. It is more complicated, and I sense you may have underestimated the reason that sentence was added to her post. It's not the first thought that would enter someone's head when dealing with the end of a journey, is it? It certainly wouldn't enter my mind.

People in life will meet others that don't care for them or wouldn't choose them as a friend. We all know that. It's quite a different story to expect "black" thoughts from them. It would take a completely heartless individual to enjoy another's pain. Why should LisaD "get off" with implying that other people are so heartless, when in fact she has no idea how they are thinking?

Those were the contents: what she said in it, in her words or yours, it doesn't matter. I know what she was doing was vile (kicking someone when they're down? Yikes, now that's poor taste), but betraying the contents of a PM is also not OK.

Yea, well this whole forum is TOS violations day in and day out...but its only called out when someone wants to whine about it.

And no one had a prob with H_A kicking Lisa in this time, but instead you all focus on a PM i mention...wow,

I don't think anyone has kicked LisaD while she's down. I think everyone has been amazingly supportive up to this point. What I do think is that "we, collectively, and individually "earn" the respect of others by our own behaviour". LisaD anticipated monstrous thoughts of others, which is vile. If she ultimately gets a little flack, well, she can only blame herself. You can'd dish it out all the time, and not expect to see some return. But all in all, aside from my direct comments, I think all other members have been total angels

i agree with sister mermaid. folks have been wonderful in support and i think it speaks well of vj

As for "veiled insults" from Lisa...She is not known for mincing words, rather known for being direct with her thoughts (and not piggy backing off others). Also how nice that you put the laughing smiley at the end of your post too.

I made my comment concerning certain people taking joy in others pain because I have seen it on here too many times. DM, wether you feel my reasons are " clandestine" or not is really not my problem, seems you are alittle dissapponted there is no drama-but whatever.I don't owe you nor anyone else any explaination as to the private nature of mine and D's relationship. I started this thread because I wanted to share my news, not bacause I owe anyone anything. Freedom is a wonderful thing. When you lose yout tunnel vision and are able to see the big picture it's absolutly laughable how petty and vindictive you really are, DM. If you mattered at all I would be upset, but you don't, therefore you can ####### all over this thread all you want. When I wrote that little blurb about certain people taking pleasure...you were one of those I was thinking of...I would say thanks for not disappointing, but you simply don't even matter enough for that. This is exactly why I wrote what I did. And I see that many did under-estimate your guile. But you are so wrong about my thoughts and anyyone else's you cared to include in your post. Some of you are too much. If someone reads something as veiled or unveiled doesnt really matter. The way someone interprets a post cant be controlled by the writer.
