You know....i guess ive never really thought about it until now, but, do i need to take my jordanian marriage certificate somewhere and register it, so my marriage is valid here....anyone know? also...where the place is and what it costs...if it even does exist....thanks guys...

Filed DCF in Jordan from 7-05 to 3-06, Approved for I-R1.

Immigration Free until 2008.

Kelly the only time you need to registered it is when you get a new driver's license or when you get a new social security card. you have to show them your jordanian marriage certificate that's in english. that's all i did and now my name is my husband's in all things.

Just hang on to that original license and translation for a long time to come, you will need it. I have been married now 1 1/2 years and I still don't have it all straightened out yet. I find there are little things you forget. I am just barely getting my passport changed...lol.

Haven't even started on my car registration yet..lol

Did you guys have to mention passport?! I will do the car registration when I get my new tags in August, but the passport - wow. Forgot that one. I also have to get the mortgage changed and found out I can add Abdel with just a quit-claim deed. Need to get that done too.

Whoever said that changing your name when you get older is a lot of work wasn't kidding! There is so much more to change now.
