The Tokyo Embassy site is a bit unclear on the topic of "Evidence of Support". Does anyone know if the I-134 fully satisfies the requirement. Here is the page I'm talking about: http://tokyo.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa-niv-kaffidavit.html. Also, there are many other requirements other than annual income and a letter from my boss, do I need to satisfy ALL those requirements (i.e. Expression of willingness to deposit a bond, if necessary, with the USCIS to guarantee that the applicant will not become a public charge in the United States") Thank you for your help.

The I-134 by itself usually is insufficient unless it is supported by other evidence. As far as the type of evidence to supply, you do not need to supply ALL, you supply all that you feel is necessary to prove your situation.

YMMV

What about this situation. I fall below the minimum poverty level by several thousand, and have a co sponsor who makes around 40,000.

Would they have a problem if me and my co-sponsor submitted ONLY our tax returns for the most recent year with the I-134?

Or will they probably deny us if we only include our most recent years tax return.

Thank you

The I-134 is the only USCIS form you need but its instructions are pretty clear on supporting documentation. I'd study the instructions and make your own decision but at a minimum, I would include some recent pay stubs in addition to a tax transcript. IRS transcripts, (free in about a week from IRS.gov) are preferred to copies of returns but if you send the return, include all of it and W2's 1099's etc. not just the 1040.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous

I am self employed so I do not have any w2, 1099. I only have the 1040 which i filed out via turbo tax basic.

Would they likely accept this situation if i only included MY irs transcript/tax transacript (whats the difference) BUT my sponsor includes her pay stubs, w2's, etc and transcript
