I am NOT a lawyer, I DON'T work for any governmental agency, and this is base solemnly on my own experience I-129F. I am posting this information here to help others whom at the beginning are not too sure how to start this process. I am not responsible for any errors or mistakes or any changes in the immigration law. May God bless us all, with all my respect here I go…. (It rhymes :whistle: ) and this I-129F, was for my fiance in Colombia.

I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e)

STEP ONE:

Find your self someone very special who is willing to shared with you a life time of happiness.

STEP TWO:

Go here and download Form I-129F

Make sure you download two items: (1) Download Instructions for completing Form I-129F and (2) Download I-129F

Answer Every question in here, questions that are not applicable (N/A) or (NONE) Don't leave any question un-answered.

If you need an extra page to answer any questions in the I-129F, here is a sample, and staple it to the back of the form.

ONE SET OF FOUR PAGES IS YOUR THE PETITIONER / ONE SET OF FOUR PAGES IS FOR THE BENEFICIARY

Your fiance (Fiancee) must sign and date this page: ASK (HIM OR HER) TO PLEASE put date this way: month/ date / year / `

*******TYPE THE SAME LETTER FOR YOUR FIANCE(E) IN ENGLISH, OF COURSE CHANGE THE INFORMATION AND ASK HIM OR HER TO GO TO A PUBLIC NOTARY IN COLOMBIA AND GET IT NOTARIZED, IF BY ANY CHANCE THE COLOMBIAN NOTARY DON'T WANT TO NOTARIZED, ASKE HER TO GO TO ANOTHER NOTARY AND TO STATE THAT SHE IS FULLY AWARE OF THE CONTENTS WRITTEN THERE.******** (to notarized in the front not on the back)

STEP FIVE:

IF you had a divorce: get a Certify Copy of judment for absolute divorce. The court (press stamp) this copy and (label sign it) it cost ($10.00 dollars each copy in New York state Supreme court).

STEP SIX:

Make a photocopy of: Proof of U.S. Citizenphip (front and back)(this is posted in the instructions)

STEP SEVEN:

Evidence of meeting in person:

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I understant that I may be required to submit original documents to an immigration or consular officer at a later date.

STEP 9

GO GET THE MONEY ORDER, PERSONAL CHECK, BANK DRAFT, FOR THE AMOUNT OF 455.00

WRITE ON YOUR FORM OF PAYMENT THE COMPLETE NAME DON'T ABBREVIATE.

PAYABLE TO: U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

PUT YOUR PACKAGE TOGETHER.

STEP 10

NOW THE PACKAGE IS COMPLETED .... MAKE PHOTOCOPIES OF EVERYTHING, AT LEAST TWO.

STEP 11

Go the the post office and send your package "EXPRESS MAIL NEXT DAY DELIVERY"

TRACKING NUMBER INCLUDED.

YOU CAN TRACK IT ON LINE: AT WWW.USPS.COM

MAKE PHOTO COPY OF POST OFFICE RECEIP AND PUT IT WITH YOUR OTHER COPIES.

STEP 12

WAIT AROUND 8 TO 10 DAYS FOR NOA 1

AND REST ASSURE EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALL RIGHT..... :dance:

***YOU HAVE TO MAKE PHOTO COPIES BECAUSE LATER AROUND OTHER APPLICATIONS ARE GOING TO ASK YOU THE SAME QUESTIONS AND YOU WANT TO BE ACCURATE***

Great info, thank for taking the time to complete this....

Myself personally, My wife & I have been married going on 6 yrs now, have been around the E.U. for the past 8 yrs. My better half is from Colombia, however we have residency in Panama for which this is where she resides currently.

Was forced to return (Unfortunately) to the states, and now we are separated. Currently going through the massive maze of docs and intrusive questions. Wife is not amused to say the least, but I have calmed her momentarily haha. Am going the Military/Government employee route for dependents so the requirements are not that bad and there is no waiting period for a Visa.

Have the fast track docs completed according to the military side of the house for DHS. Don't believe they told me about the 325a, but did read with here so have completed regardless. My wife just sent this to me, however I forgot to mention to her to get her signature notarized. This is absolutely a requirement? definitely need to know before I send her pkg off.
