2 year limit for K-1?

Hello,

My SO and I are planning to file for a K-1 visa. When I looked at the instructions for the I-129F form, it says you "have met in person within two years before your filing of this petition".

Does this mean that you cannot have met the person further in advance of two years? Or that you have simply met at least once within two years before filing?

I ask because my SO and I met in March 19, 2006, but we have been flying to see each other every four to eight weeks since then. We're wondering if we need to rush and get our paperwork submitted by March 19, 2008.

Thanks,

lhamilt
