I-864 question

Question is:

When we pay the I-864 bill and send the I-864 form do they check with IRS database and compare results or is it enough to send completed 1040 form and 1099s and w2 ? ( I got both of them)

I am gonna finish my 1040 form but it is gonna be delayed because of W-7 application

My wife is gonna apply for TIN ( W-7 form) so we can file jointly return for 2007

Now, It is gonna take 6-8 weeks to get the, number and process federal tax return.

Since they can not process return until she get TIN, I guess the IRS system is gonna show that I did not file for 2007 tax year.

I filed the W7 with my 1040 and they processed it with out wife in PI having a ITIN.

They send a letter with her ITIN a a month which she added on a copy of the joint return for the embassy interview.

No

they did not processed anything yet

I am about to send w7 app to my wife she has to sign it and then you send the complete federal tax return and the w-7 and certified copy of your wife's passport to the address which is on w7 form

but my question is :

is gonna take 6-8 weeks to process the return

Does the NVC checks with IRS did they process 1040 form or they just look at the one that i send to them ( I mean it is gonna be same form with same data on it

send in the tax return and w2 with your i864, doesn't need to wait for the ITIN to process

at the end all of them will turn out the same anyway, that if you file for tax return and not getting

a current tax letter from the IRS

you send the w-7 in with the tax forms to the IRS, they give the ITIN. as far as the I-864 the taxes are not due til april 15th, how can NVC expect anyone to send this years tax forms in? I sent copies of my w-2's that I will be sending with my tax forms and transcripts for the last 2 years (only one is required). we will soon see if it has been accepted.

April 15 is the set date for all US citizen to file tax. If you don't file after april 15 it a late return.

hence the requirement from NVC the current tax return and the last two years. yes you can send them your w2 and your last two years return

it will still work fine but. anyone can file their return ahead of the set date of April 15. it save a lot of hassle then wait until april and get your return send in and get an REF from NVC.

that is why the requirement from goverment to get employer to send out W2 is no later than Feb 1.

my suggestion is file your return when u get your w2. ITIN notary can alway done ahead of time.

I have money coming back so I certainly wont wait til april 15th. all I was saying is for them to require 2007 tax statment would be less then fair since the filing date is april 15th. If I owed I would make them wait to the last minute to get money
