My husband just renewed his passport and is getting the new PCC (we are doing this because his passport exp in dec and this way he will only need one PCC from passport office instead of one from every place he has lived). The mail is so slow and we still have another week before he will get the PCC I have asked him to fax them to me and then mail them.

My question here is would NVC have a problem with accepting the faxed copy of PCC and adding the original after when I receive it? I hate to have the process slowed down now by 2-3 weeks. would this automatically generate a RFE if I send cover letter with the information about the original to follow shortly? How long does it take for a review after RFE?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

There is no point in sending a faxed copy of the police certificate. NVC wants the original - you won't be saving yourself any time by sending in a copy and in fact you might slow the processing down.
