Hi,

Is there anybody who had this happening and can advise me what to do?

I had applied to renew my AP and received a RFE for it by email, pretty much at the same time as my AOS got approved. I received the GC few days ago and today I got the RFE for the AP in the mail. It's asking for 2 passport-size photos, which I had already sent with the original AP application.

Now, my husband says I should take new photos and mail them in because he thinks if the AP gets denied everything could get screwed up and I may get in serious trouble... What I would like to do is to just forget about it and enjoy my CPR status finally!

Any experience?

Thanks a lot!

Wow, its kind of a lost cause now, green card is right around the corner

I already got my GC but after reading all this horror stories in VJ...What if some day I'm asked: did you ever get an application with USCIS denied?

Maybe my husband is right and I should send what they are asking...

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just send them a couple of pictures? I agree that although the application is now worthless, it might be a good idea to clear any RFE's that might be in their computer systems. I don't think it is much to worry about but a couple of photos and a 39 cent stamp will clear any chances that something might come up later.

I agree.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I see you have reached your decision. I would have suggested an INFO-Pass at least to make sure. If you comply with the RFE, as you have decided it should be just fine too.

Congratulations on the green card!

How funny it came up RFE when you actually have your green card... Sort of a moot point!

But sending off the photos is not a bad idea, and even less if you combine with an infopass appointment to clear up the situation. :)

I would Reply to the RFE because sometimes it sames difficult for one USCIS office to know what another USCIC office is doing. for instance I was told that absoulity no way I would get my EAD with an RFE still outstanding But I made an infopass on the 90th day of my application went in to distric office And Bam walked out an hour later with EAD in Hand no Questions ask. so as not to have one office screw things up for you I would comply.
