Could anybody tell me why my I130 receipt number is totally changed with letters and new numbers?? it used to be WAC and now its LIN.

I saw this item on their website but have yet to run into anyone that has been issued a LIN number - did you get this on some type of application or are you looking at the same blah blah blah that I noticed on their famous website>

Cheers

Honestly, I have no clue. My case is some what complicated. For whatever reason, our I130 has been held up in administrative review (from 2005). my husband arrived here on a K3 without the approval of an I130. We were notified in July 2007 that the I130 was transferred to Detroit's local office ( still had the WAC receipt#) then in February 2008, we noticed that our I130 was given a new receipt number. In the USCIS account, it still shows our I130 (WAC#) still pending and now we also have an I130 (LIN#) showing pending. It' s like we have 2 I130s pending

NoelandTin-

Yes - but normally processing for applications will have a WAC OR EAC number unless your at NVC and then its the embassy code - not sure about AOS - havent even dreamed about that little goodie.

Thanks tho - but for a I-130 it should reflect WAC or EAC yes? Well unless they are changing midstream again

Cheers

I had no clue LIN=Nebraska Service Center (this i130 originally went to Nebraska then to California and now it's in Detroit). I wonder where else this petition has went.?? ...lol

Could anybody tell me why my I130 receipt number is totally changed with letters and new numbers?? it used to be WAC and now its LIN.

WAC - CSC

LIN - NSC

SRC - TSC

EAC - VSC

LIN is for Nebraska Service Center

I should also add that when we were notified that this I130 was transferred to Detroit in July 2007, we still had the receipt# WAC, and we were sent a letter for an interview in Detroit in February 2008 that is when I discovered there was a new receipt#LIN. when i check my account with USCIS the WAC# shows that this case was transferred to Detroit in July 2007 and pending and when I check the account for LIN# it says that this has been transferred to Detroit in November 2007. Does that make sense? it was in Detroit since July 2007. Did my petition fall off the face of the earth from July 2007 to November 2007? How could it be transferred twice to the same place?
