They changed the numbers my khaltis, amtis, my mima my mom !! MY HUSBAND!!! I can't get in touch with anybody !?!?! No body can explain what happened from there they don't understand calling from USA saying its invalid number its not an existing number. HAs anyone else been able to get through ?? If so what did you dial?? We talk EVERYDAY and its been 3 days only texting by phone I cant believe this If someone has any information let me know

ugh, the same thing happened last year with egypt--they added an extra 2 in the phone number at the beginning...

i see in the title of the thread, it says two 7s instead of one--did you try sticking it in various places, lol, see if it works?

There is a American women named Harmony that lives in Setif. She had a blog entry about the changes. This is what she said.

"Starting February 22nd, 2008 there will be an extra number appended to mobile phone numbers in Algeria. It will be added to the front of the area code. And it will be a duplicate number. For example, if the mobile number is 072-66-65-99, 072 being the area code, then the new number will be 0772-66-65-99. So you just double the number in between the zero and the first number in the sequence.

For international callers you will omit the zero and add 213 to the front. So the new number to dial would be 213-772-66-65-99."

Yes they have offically added a number to all mobile numbers; 5 for all Nezdjma 6 for all Djezzy and a 7 for the Mobilis numbers. So a Nedjma nuumber that would have been for example 213 50112118 would now be 213 550112118. Hope that helps

Esalaam if you email me that number you want to call I could check into this. My mum had trouble calling me on the 22nd when they changed everything but no prob now.
