Hi! My hubby is scheduled to take his road test soon. Any recommendations of how to prep? Websites with sample road test scripts, where we can practice together?

Also, he will be taking his test in Kirkland, Washington. If anyone has feedback about the test at this office please let us know.

Thanks in Advance

I used these people. Small cost for a month and I found their questions very similar to the real ones but a little bit harder. I had no problems at all with the real test having done the ones on this site.

I bookmarked all these free sites and my hubby uses them to practice for his learner's permit.

Some questions are state specific, but most are the same for any state. My husband read ( I read it too :crying: ) our state's driver manual, and when he gets stumped by a strange question, I remind him that it it is not in our book, so he shouldn't worry about it.

Thank you both for the great sites! We will definitely use the sites to help review. My husband already passed the knowledge test. In Washington state you take the written test one day, and then you have to schedule the road test (the one where someone for the DMV rides in the car with you) for another day. So far we're planning on driving around the neighborhood where the DMV is located to make sure he's confident driving in the area and that there are no unusual signs.

After I taught my husband to drive, I set him up with a driver's instructor for a driving lesson. It was like $60 an hour and 2 hours were required. She took him on the exact route of the test a few times and gave him pointers on exactly what was going to be on the test.

If it is just the drive test as long as he has been driving for practice he should be OK. I have to say I couldn't believe how little there is to the drive test and how short it is.

Make sure he can parallel park, although when I did mine the examiner couldn't find a suitable space for me to reverse into so just told me to pull by the side of the road and reverse 2 car lengths. Make sure he looks in his blind spots when pulling away, changing lanes or turning. They seem to look for that, and to look over his shoulder out the back of the vehicle when reversing.

And make sure to remind him to never ever make a right turn on red at no right turn on red light sign. My husband's first test lasted all of 5 minutes before he was back.

He passed the 2nd one with a nearly perfect score.

Hi, thanks for the useful sites for the sample driving written test, and I already made an appointment for the written test next month. Can anyone of you tell me how many answer I should answer? And how many answer that I should answer correctly and pass the test?

Thank you.

Thank you.

If the machines are the same as in Oregon it tell you when you have completed the test. It is something like 30 questions of which you have to get 75-80% right. It differs from State to State so you need to go to the web site for your local DMV and look up the test details.
