CT is one of the 19 states that you cannot vote in the primary if you are an independent. They make you choose in order to participate.

Aah. NJ is the same way. But declaring affiliation is easy, you can do it at the polling station on election day. And you can send in a form the very next day switching right back to I if you like.

I understand though, it isn't as easy as it should be.

In New Mexico you have to have changed your affiliation in writing (using a special form that's quite hard to find) by 6 weeks before the election. I would *love* to be back in New Jersey where you can change it on poll day!

:luv: i absolutely LOVE new york city! :luv:

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

When I am overseas and people ask where I am from I always say 'Hawaii' - I was not born there but I spent the bulk of my childhood and young adulthood there so it will always be 'home' to me. It's very exciting seeing a fellow Punahou alum as a serious contender for the White House!!!

I also see Queens as home now too and don't even know if I would want to go back to Hawaii although I miss it terribly - I am too far gone into desi culture and Hawaii has almost none - can't live without good Indian food now!! I do love the cultural diversity of both places and can't imagine living in some white bread suburb.

I was just saying I feel very deeply Minnesotan. I am certainly American, but it has less meaning for me, even while abroad. I find myself telling people about our winters and shoveling the driveway, about being one of the coldest metropolises in the world, about our beautiful summers. I've lived other places in the US, but my heart will always be in Minnesota.

Rey said he feels more paulista (from Sao Paulo state) than he feels Brazilian.

So how do you feel?

I am proud to be a Southern New Englander despite my dislike for the cold weather here.I am also proud of my Afro-Panamanian heritage.

Come back! Corzine wants to either increase TPK and GSP tolls 50% every four years or hike the gas tax 18% over three years. Oh, and there's talk of eliminating our property tax rebates.

We'd love to have you back :luv:

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I find it hard to answer. I grew up in FL but in an area where most ppl are from other places. So I don't feel the same as a FL native. I was born in Queens but wouldn't want to live in NYC. I'd love to visit, but not live anwhere so crowded and expensive. So maybe I should say country.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I am loyal to my family. I live in Illinois, and I hate it and all the corruption, especially in the money-pit sometimes referred to as"Chicago". I served my country with honor, but yet they turn their backs on the veterans. I can't even get something as simple as "preferential service" on my Visa petition. I think that would be the LEAST my country could do for me. I still wear the scars, both physical and emotional from my service to them. When my children are grown and out of the nest, then I will be going into semi-retirement in the Philippines.
