I just started the K-1 process in January and just found this site. I went to the USCIS site and registered and looked at the case update page. How or where do you see touches? It says when it was received and that is it. I know this has probably been asked many times before but I looked through past entries and didn't see anything. Thanks!

There will be a "Last Updated" date.

That's the last time your petition was "touched".

That means that someone has done something to your profile, looked at it, filed it, moved it, etc.

Good Luck! :)

Welcome to VJ and good luck with the process!!

Your case is *touched* when you see a new date in the column that says 'last update'. Touches don't necessarily mean anything. It can be that they just move your file to another box.

Wishing you a speedy process!!! :star:

In every difficulty lies an island of opportunity.

"Touching" is meaningless and no big deal. Some petitions get 'touched" and others never do. It only indicates someone had your petition in their hands and made note of it on the database. What truly counts are NOAs (yeah!) and RFEs (Boo!) :)

Just in case you were wondering...if you go to your controls and go to edit your signature you can put your timeline in that way so everytime you post it will show it. I think it all kind of keeps everyone going...just thought I would let you know in case you didn't. It took me awhile to figure out how to get around in here. My fiance is from the UK, too. Good luck with everything!!!

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.-Natalie

To truly love something, you must first give it a chance to fail. If it survives, it is going to be stronger than ever. Distance is pure proof of this, and forever we will love if we survive.-Matthew
