I am ready and awaiting the disaster that will befall our country when this man, with vacuous and hollow rhetoric, really implements his ideas that he has neglected to tell us about. Neglected by design by the way.

Change for change sake is a recipe for trouble.

So being the country with one of the highest standard of living ever known to the common man, freedom on a level that most in the rest of the world cannot comprehend. That offers more opportunity to anybody that is willing to work and sacrifice to achieve their dreams then is possible under any other economic system or in any other country in the world, so much so that they are willing to risk their lives to be part of it.

So the Change being offered is.....What?!?

Umm.....that's what we want. We've had a lot of career politicians lately.... where has it gotten us? I'm ready for someone who doesn't think like a politician. If Bob the Trash Collector was running for Prez, I'd vote for him instead. He isn't, so Obama is my first choice.

Why hire a garbageman or 3 wanna be prez senators when there is a guy with executive experience still in the running? A guy that actually has real experience running state government for many years. And he is on the ballot of the Texas primary I just cast in early voting.

What I actually read was that Michelle Obama was referring to the grass roots support her husband has received as a source for her feeling this pride in her country. What she said was just taken out of context. This happens all of the time in politics, no matter the side of the politician. What gets old is how people on the Internet debate this sort of thing like it is the first time it has ever happened.

It truly appears that the "conservative republican" base is a bunch of radical trouble makers who are looking to run this great nation into the ground with their ancient political ideology. However, if we venture too far left, we'll institute laws, policies, and practices that will keep America chasing it's tale for some time to come.

Sort of what we had for the past 8 years now. GWB was not a experiance person either, only had been a Gov. of Texas and then Pres. He had some Oil companys and by no Surpised, they all failed. He had to have his Father bail him out and help from Saudi Arabia. So people who claim Obama has not experiance holds as much as a glass of water without a bottom on the glass.

The Change is to get the War drum beaters out of OFFICE and that inculdes McCain. He is a carbon Copy of GWB, so if he is elected, then guess what, 4 more years of BUSHES Polices and help the rich and F the poor and middle class.

I couldn't reply to this one earlier because I was laughing too hard. Ditto what the bear says. Have the past 7 years just not existed? The Patriot Act is the most horrible piece of sh!t to have been passed in the last 50 years. Have you noticed that we're IN a recession right now? The "standard of living" is already going down. And call me crazy, but isn't unemployment pretty high right now? I know that *I* haven't seen very many jobs listed in the Indy Star lately... like about 1/4 of one page, mostly in health care.

Want to know how pervasive our lack of freedom now is? I had occasion to do a closing for some relatives a couple of months ago. I hadn't done one in years so I knew there would be some things that I had not seen previously but I was unprepared for this: In the flurry of papers that go across the table on closing day, one sheet came across entitled "Patriot Act Disclosure". #######??? I inquired and was told that it is a certification to the DHS that you are not a terrorist. If your clients don't sign, they don't get to close. Unbelievable.

Yes that is unbelievable. Our freedoms are being taken away slowly. In the 7 years that the DHS was a agency this country went south really quick. You cant open a bank account with out signing papers. like you said #######

I too believe the people will lose a lot more freedoms under another right wing nutter and the rich will keep getting richer as will the oil companies.. there profits are not being hurt by the "economy" are they?

Only Hillary had nothing to do with the 90's. Bill had a small part to play anyway. But most of it, was the dot com boom or bubble, depending how you look at it.
