thanks sarah for that.. like i said i talked and ask nicly to the rear D but like i said they refuse to help.. cos they told me that army is out of immigration thing,, so i just say thank you for the time.. i called the uscis costumer service they wont give any number or fax #...i told them that we just request expedite and i will send some documents like NOA orders in vermont & until now we have no news on our expedite request.....even me iam confuse so i will just wait and wait im tired of doing options.. like my inlaws says that not everything others do.. might not work for me.. i will just wait and see how this service center process my application.

by the way.. im happy got your application approve,, start packing your stuff...

I've just read there is no longer anyway of expediting by fax thru Vermont

http://www.nafsa.org/regulatory_informatio...hanges_expedite

You call the Customer Service phone number (Military Helpline) and tell them you're requesting expedite for Military Deployment .... you'll hear within 5 working days about sending your information etc.

Thank you so much MarineBabe, Ruby, Bex, Welshcookie and Ling .... it was certainly a stunning finish, and not one I would've expected a few days ago .... this time I went in with 'all guns ablazing' for the expedite and gave them no wiggle room whatsoever  .... and I was quite blown away myself how it all happened.

The 4 month wait and previous expedite refusal certainly knocked my confidence for a while ..... but out of it, I found a way to expedite which should help all military in the future

"Where there's a will ... there's a way!"

Ling my lovely, don't panic about NVC .... check out these 2 links .... ignore James shortcut now as it's defunct thanks to Lotopatience's new setup which is on the second link.

The first link is the one I penned a couple of weeks back and has all the paperwork you'll need on it etc and documents.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=124755

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=127253

Read them both very carefully.

Then just get things together in a methodical fashion.

Hugs for all you guys,

Sarah xx

Thanks Sarah!!! How's your case going on now? My parents in law just got the DS-3032 from NVC yesterday.

best wishes

Congrats Sarah!

I haven't been on in AGES, been so busy but I'm excited to hear that you got through finally! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for my husbands orders to get here from Iraq. Well happy to say it arrived this morning. I am holding on to the package till monday though and then going to fed-ex it to the deliveries address for the chicago lockbox overnight. Should get there by tuesday morning, then we can start this ball-a-rollin'!

My darling husband was even good enough to get a letter from his commander as well to go in with the package, so I am hoping to get some word about it by the end of next week or early the following week. Also keeping my fingers crossed to be at NVC by the end of the month.

I will definately keep my timeline updated as the events unfold.

Yay againn for you and everyone else who's been approved since I was on last!!

P.S. I finally have a 'homecoming week'. It's still a few months away, and my dream is to get my visa before hubby comes back! That would just be awsome :D

Well guys .... I got approved today!

Thank you for all the support you have given me so far.

Just to let all you military spouses without deployment pending, looming or current, expedites are not impossible .....

You must involve the Commander (the higher up the better) and a Senator and apply for an expedite under National Interest.

Mine was backed up with Financial and Humanitarian, but I know that they didn't really bother reading past the Colonel's letter stating the importance of the expedite.

Of course no expedite is guaranteed, but my case shows that it is possible.

Everyone in the military regardless of rank is very important to the mission .... the mission being the protection of the United States (whether they are deployed or not) .... this comes under National Interest.

Now, I'd better get my ####### in gear for NVC

:dancing::dancing:

Hi everyone,

I second this advice.

My husband and I filed petitions for K-3 visa and they were pending at Vermont.

Our Senator`s office filed our expedite request on grounds of DOD National Interest this morning. In less than half an hour (!), they got a telephone call from USCIS that the expedite was approved.

This evening, less than 12 hours later, both our I-130 and I-129F got approved, we just received the emails from CRIS.

My husband just got back from deployment and hasn`t received his new deployment orders yet, so at first, after reading how tough it is to get an expedite, we weren`t even going to try.

However, after Sarah got a positive, we figured we would give it a try. And we got a yes in record time.

So if you are a military spouse, please do not listen to anyone that tells you that you need actual deployment orders in hand, since that is not (no longer) true.

Expedites are exceptional, and there is no guarantee for getting your expedite request approved. But our case getting approved in less than a day, and of course Sarahs case, proves it is not impossible.

Just draft your letter carefully, get help from your (spouses) CO and a Senator or Congressman, and read Sarah`s expedite tips in another thread.

And good luck, if you decide to try.

Hi Mrs Hooks.

Sarah's ban has ended now but I think she has decided not to come back because of the way she was treated. Sadly that whole argument got a bit out of control, although it may have seemed like she was banned for helping us, it wasn't about the expedites it was more about the topic which Sarah had started and some of the comments that were made. Please don't let this stop you talking to others about the expedite process; Sarah was making a real break through educating people about them before she left and if we start feeling like we can’t talk about it openly then others wont be able to benefit from the success you guys have had.

I hope that your all well, have a great weekend and Congratulations again.
