Hey Sarah and others!

Wow, got an interview date and the final packet from the Embassy! Time to celebrate!

Good luck to you!

More wonderful news!! Thankyou for posting this .....

On a personal note as you're from the Ukraine, do you know of a lady in your history called Anna Yaroslavna? I'm a direct descendant of hers which I found when doing my family tree and I understand she was from Kiev.

I don't think military expedite will work for you since it's for American military members. Sorry that I don't know any better.

No.. I don;t! Ukrainian heritage - that sounds interesting.. I should try to get the family tree too, just for fun.

Family trees are really cool to do, they throw up the wildest things at times .... hence this Ukranian ancestor I found on mine.

I am very much a mongrel ..... I seem to have heritage from everywhere

Hey Lovelies!!!

I hope your all having a fabulous weekend. Fingers crossed next week will be a flurry of approvals. I'm feeling very political this weekend and have been seriously disappointed in some of the comments I've been reading on VJ. Do people seriously consider the convenience of falling in love before they actually fall in love? ... surely thats more like walking into love not falling! I know if I could have chosen I perhaps wouldn't have picked a man that lived on the other side of the world and was currently serving in a war zone. Thats immaterial though as I didn't choose. I woke up one day and was hooked, very little thought went into it at all. Anyway this has all been debated and there is no need to start all over again here on our thread. I just wanted to say how much I support the military filers here on VJ, you guys deserve the 20 second approvals more than anyone else in my honest opinion. Being away from your SO is hard enough, I spend my days wondering when I'm going to see Alan again and making plans for our reunion, I'm glad the days of wondering if I'm going to see him again are gone. I wouldn't wish those days on my worst enemy. Your stronger and braver than the majority of people I have met in my short life.

I hope that this finds you and your SO's safe and well. Your all in my thoughts.

Lots of Love

Hi, every one here!!! and Mrs Hooks,

Here was what we did about our expedite, as you see my timeline, we got our NOA1 for I-130 on Feb 19, and we didn't know anything about the military expedite before, and we were sitting around waiting for almost 2 months, until Apr 7, I asked my husband to call the 1-800 number for the case status and what we need to do for the rest. As my husband called them, there was a woman answered the phone, as my husband said, he thinks the woman worked in military too since he could tell that from her way talking. The first thing my husband told her was he's deploying in Iraq, and wanted his wife to be in the states when he comes back from R&R or finish his mission in Iraq. And as soon as the woman knew he's deploying in Iraq, she gave my husband a serial number and told him she would fax our case, and asking for expedite. and then on May 9, we got email notice asked for addition information, and the respond required in 20 calendar days, and my husband faxed what they need to them as soon as he read the email within 2 hours. On May 12, our expedite approved. and On May 13 they have it in the mail.

Those were all we did for our expedite, we didn't call the military helpline, we just called the 1-800 number, and I think for your case you could have your husband call the 1-800 or the Military Helpline 1-877-247-4645, tell them your situation and apply for the expedite. And here are what they asked for in the email to the following:

Documents may include: a complete description of the emergent personal

reasons for this expedite: a letter you have written and signed

explaining to the service why you need this case worked in an expedited

manner: a copy of your military orders or a letter from your commanding

officer regarding your deployment / situation: or any other information you

would like to submit to support your expedite request. If you submit a

document in any language other than English, it must be completely

translated. The translator must certify that the translation is accurate

and that he or she is competent to translate.

Note: You must submit the requested foreign language document along

with the translation.

Hope this may help you, waiting for your good News!!!

CONGRATS LING,, yehey for this goodnews,, soon you will be with ur hubby !!!

PS. add some pictures on ur myspace.. LOL

Hi Ruby, I am sorry to reply late here... I've been having problems with the network all week, (I guess maybe it's because of the earthquakes) until tonight it seems better but still not as good as it used to be... I tried to sign in MySpace and finally I made it tonight too... Did you see the pictures of me and my husband I put in there? We haven't get to meet each other since last time he flew to me and married me, so I guess if you are talking of more pictures of me and my husband then has to wait... LOL...

Take Care - oh I saw you had new pictures in myspace, gonna go and check it!!!
