does this happen often to the I-129F/I-130 applications.. I have seen lots of stuff on the web as to the I-130/I-485.. I hope that they didn't mess up my app.. but the guy did say what kind of application it was for : I said "I-130/I-129F for K3 Visa"... can you guys help me find some stuff on local office interviews and what happens when you get approved? Thanks.. :thumbs:

I-130 STAGE 1 : 533 days - 1 year 6 months (4/16/2007 to 9/22/2008)

Priority Date I-130 : 4/16/2007 ( 533 days , APPROVED 9/22/2008)
Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

NVC STAGE 2 : 99 days - 3 months (9/30/2008 to 1/7/2009)
NVC Received : 9/30/2008
Received Packet 3 (I-864/DS-230) : 11/10/2008
NVC says "RFE sent out 12/9/08 for missing documents" : 12/10/2008
CASE COMPLETE - 1/7/2009

CONSULATE STAGE 3 : 96 days - 3 months (1/8/2009 to 4/14/2009)
CLEARED CUSTOMS - 3/10/2009
**APPOINTMENT DATE : 4/14/2009, 7:15AM**

CALL-IN LETTER (APPROVAL)!! : 7/16/2009
ALL DONE!! (got both GREEN CARD & SSN CARD) : 10/1/2009

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013

my main question was the guy said that they will "forward the application (don't know which one, forgot to ask.. most likely the I-130 now because that was what the interview was for on the paper) to the Guangzhou Consulate".. does that mean they will skip over the NVC? I couldn't find any information about this.. so I am still suspicious of the recent approval..

hey gogo... That's great it got approve!!!! :dance: Tell us how it went!?!?!??!? I am so Curious to know what happened at your interview? how long was it??? Wht they ask you?? I finally found out why they are taking so long, my I-130 is having secruity checks done, but it's taking so long.... :(

basically this is it, but there other "additions" throughout the topic =)

"I went with my parents to the local office and sat there for 2 hours in the waiting room.. then they called my name and an asian person called us in.. before we had even sat down, he asked "who are these people with you?".. my dad said "dad and mom"... then he said "in that case, you will be approved".. then he just asked my parents a couple of questions (where are you guys from, how long lived in US, have you met her and her parents).. then he looked at some pictures from the backpack I brought.. (maybe 6-10).. I didn't even have to show my DVD or my copies of my forms.. then he said: "We are doing this because there are many fraud apps with young people".. "if the parents are there, it would be much better... automatic wild (trump) card"... we didn't even have time to react.. everything was over in less than 2 minutes.. we didn't have time to get comfortable (not that I wanted to) in the chairs yet... so if you want to get approved.. GET YOUR PARENTS TO COME AND SUPPORT YOU (or other CLOSE family members -- brothers and sisters)..."

Thanks Nita&Assaad!! No need to apologize... ^_^ I am still worried about if it is real or not.. they aren't the most "trusted" people when they say things... I'll celebrate more when I get the NOA2 paper in the mail... does anyone know how long a local office interview approval will take to get the NOA2 in the mail? I'm guessing about 1-2 weeks.. I'll be calling next Friday (to USCIS) to see if I have an approval or not.. then the following Friday again if I don't get the NOA2 in the mail by then...

The only information I would know that All K Visa's are processed with the NVC. Since the Interview was for the I-130; not sure how they will process the application. At the Interview was the K3 even mentioned? I would contact them and tell them you were just so, excited but, need to get more details.
