Hi Everyone,

I admit, I have found myself asking the exact same thing throughout this entire I-751 process too, despite being approved recently (though I'm still waiting for the actual card, 9 months+ later).

So here are my "simple top 10 equation answers" of "why I want to be approved (and get my card) faster", as follows:

1) High Risk Pregnancy + Immigration Matters = Disaster

2) Denial + Deportation = Yikes! Nightmare #1

3) Interview + Pregnancy/Labour = Nightmare #2

4) RFE + Pregnancy/Labour = Nightmare #3

5) 9 months+ + 3 Expedites/Inquiries = USCIS Incompentence

6) Travel + Expired Documents = Harassment

7) Expired Green Card + NOA Extension Letter = Useless

8) $545 + Other Immigration and Household Expenses = Broke

9) Current Mortgage Application + Expired Documents = Questionable

10) Moving Very Soon/New Address Change + USCIS Incompentence = Lost Card

And last but not least...

10+1 Bonus) Still Waiting + Extra Stress = AntandD

Lol...now it's your turn to come up with your own "10 equations as to why you want to be approved faster".....

Good luck with the rest of your immigration journeys. And I hope that you all will be "approved faster" soon too!

Ant (Still waiting for Card 9 months+, Still waiting for Baby 9 months...)

Just curious.

Why you want it to be approved fast?

I agre ethat paying $545 for a service you expect it to be timely but I don't really see the fuss about the I751. If you had a complicated AOS then maybe you will be nervous but for me this is the easiest least stressful part of the whole immigration process.

Just file it, include sufficient evidence (which should not be an issue as you have two years to prepare) and sit back and wait. You get a 1year extension straight off the bat and then if you are still waiting they extend it further. It should neither affect work, travel or life in the same way that K!/3 and AOS does.

I really don't care if it takes 2 moths or a year, it will happen.

K-1 Visa Journey

04/20/2006 - file our I-129f.

09/14/2006 - US Embassy interview. Ask Lauren to marry me again, just to make sure. Says Yes. Phew!

10/02/2006 - Fly to New York, EAD at JFK, I'm in!!

10/14/2006 - Married! The perfect wedding day.

AOS Journey

10/23/2006 - AOS and EAD filed

05/29/2007 - RFE (lost medical)

08/02/2007 - RFE received back at CSC

08/10/2007 - Card Production ordered

08/17/2007 - Green Card Arrives

Removing Conditions

05/08/2009 - I-751 Mailed

05/13/2009 - NOA1

06/12/2009 - Biometrics Appointment

09/24/2009 - Approved (twice)

10/10/2009 - Card Production Ordered

10/13/2009 - Card Production Ordered (Again?)

10/19/2009 - Green Card Received (Dated 10/13/19)
