Mags talks in her sleep. I ain't saying what she talks about, though....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I'm not really a sleeptalker (I do it occasionally) but I have woke up standing up or sitting on the edge of the bed. I also get something similar to night terrors only not as traumatic. One of my gfs calls those episodes, "antics". LOL. My son also sleepwalks. He'll climb down from his bunkbed and walk around the house in his sleep. He also sleeptalks on occasion.

Gary talks in his sleep, not real often, more so when he's very tired. Usually he is saying some very naughty words  He tells me he must be talking to the guys in work haha

He's also a very restless sleeper, kicks me, hits me sometimes :( but its the snoring that is the worse!!!!!!!!

I am a sleep mumbler. James will sometimes talk in his sleep, its great .. I ask him all sorts of questions, nothing serious of course and treat it as a bit of fun. The other night I woke up with the light on, apparently, James had been dreaming that I asked him to turn on the light so I could see a chest I was looting (wow reference) so he did.

Sleepwalking and talking in your sleep is perfectly normal, and usually runs in families. Some people also can get violent in their sleep, if they are prone to nightmares. My hubby used to get really bad nightmares and would sometimes thrash about, but not very much anymore.

Here's some info on sleepwalking http://www.crescentlife.com/disorders/sleepwalking.htm

Basically it is caused because some people don't have the brain chemical that causes us to be "paralyzed" while we sleep. The majority of the population, when we sleep we don't move around much. For a small percentage, they move around a little or a lot, and some can get up and go for a jog, or a drive around the block, or a snack in the kitchen.

I recall an episode of Mad About You when Paul went to a sleep clinic because he wasn't sleeping well, and the clinic couldn't find anything wrong with him, and he said it was the best night's sleep he'd had in years. So the following night both he and Jamie spent the night being observed in the clinic and it turned out that she was thrashing about so much in her sleep that she was beating Paul up every night, which is why he wasn't sleeping!

A friend of mine used to sleepwalk a lot when she was a kid, one time she got up and went outside in her nightgown in the middle of winter. Her parents had to start locking and blocking the door so she couldn't get out.

My brother-in-law walks in his sleep quite a lot, mostly when he's been drinking, but even sometimes when he's sober. He wanders around the house, and has even gone outside. His son (my nephew) also walks in his sleep, so my sister had to get some of those toddler safety door knob thingies so that he can't turn the knob to get out.

I used to walk in my sleep sometimes too, but I don't think I've done it in a long time. I think it stopped after puberty.

I think the not remembering part is pretty normal.

I've been told I talk in my sleep but I've been told I laugh and crack up in my sleep more than I talk.

Sometimes I'll be laughing so hard while sleeping that it will wake up former roommates and they'll come check on me and I'm asleep cracking up. That must be pretty funny to them. I just wish I could remember what is so funny in my dreams.

i've heard people laugh in their sleep and that is creepyyy..lol...one time, i was up alone at night on the computer and my niece started laughing hysterically and it scared the ####### out of me!!! lol..

..this thread reminded me of an episode of FRIENDS where Joey snores and Chandler takes him to a clinic for sleeping disorders...then, Chandler meets a girl there and they show him later, learning that she also has some disorder..:lol::lol:

the scenes from that episode are within the first few minutes of this clip..hehe..

enjoy :)

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

::It’s you...It’s you...Baby it’s you::
