Hi there, i am new to this site so if i'm posting in wrong places please direct me in the right way :) I am a canadian citizen and am married to a USA citizen.we have filed all the paperwork, I-485,I-130,I765, and the I-131.... all is paid for in full, i also went for my medical here in the US and sent it in with my applications.. They sent me a appointment to go for my biometrics ( i went and they are done) now my questions are... whats next? how long till i can travel back to canada.. my children and grandchildren are all in canada and i will need to go back this summer for different reasons (ie) wedding, moms birthday, a mass for my late father ect ... any info you can give i would be grateful.. :)

well we are not yet at the stage ur at so i dont have any information for u but im sure people that are further along than we are will give u some really good advice and answers but i wanted to say welcome to u anyway lol

I assume you are doing AOS. The USCIS will most likely transfer your petition to a service center than does the initial processing on the petition. A lot of times that would be CSC. The service center will either approve the petition without an interview or will schedule you an interview with your local office. You might take a look at the AOS guide here on VJ. thank you for the reply and yes we filed the I-85 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status in january 2008 ... and thanks for the welcome estadia.. :)

sorry one more question... what can i expect at the interview? it says to bring photos i have hundreds how do i know which ones they want to see?

They want to see proof of a legitimate marriage and life with you and your spouse. Things such as photos, joint bank accounts, bills in both names and health insurance with the spouse also listed are good pieces of evidence. Take photos that show you both together over the period of your married life, and maybe some from the wedding. Have pictures of you as a couple with other people in the family to help show that you're involved with her family.

This should really be posted in the AOS section of the forum though, not on the K1 board. I am sure a Moderator will move this soon for you.
