Awww congratulations!!!

Puppies are so adorable ! :luv:

Don't forget to have him neutered, and to give him heartworm prevention medicine, and even to have his hips checked so he can have a long healthy life! :)

Absolutely! Heartworms are my biggest fear- here in New Orleans, many dogs have them. I took Cooper for his first Vet visit and first shots a few days ago and when he goes back in 3 weeks he will be old enough to start the once a month pill. I will also start him on some type of flea repellent- that is something we never even had to think about in Alberta.

Talk to your vet about the product Revolution. It's a Heartworm medication that also controls fleas and other parasites. It's pretty much an all-in-one kinda thing. It's also once a month, and it's a topic that you apply on the skin between the shoulder. Just a little vial of alcohol based product and it dry within few minutes. And then you don't have to make your dog eat 2 pills. Sometimes they don't even want to touch it even if it's beef flavored.

As for heartworm, there is a lot in New-Orleans, but it's more because there is not enough people that treats their dog to prevent it. There was some dogs rescued after Katrina up to here, and about 75% of them were infected by the heartworms apparently. So as long as you give him the prevention and do the blood test once a year, it should be gold!

I am learning good in my job :P

AWW! You're like a new mommy! He's an adorable puppy!

One of my girlfriends was over yesterday- she is planning to try for a baby this year- she said to me that we should both try to get pregnant together. I was like "no thanks" I have my baby and I am very content. :)

Yep, for the next while, he wil be just like a baby, lol I recal getting up a few times a night to let my pup out, lol. Congrats

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Aww, he is adorable! You can see that he is going to grow up to be a real sweetheart!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
