We sent in our application for AOS on November 20th. We recently received the EAD/AP and our file is still stuck at the central location while I've read about countless people who've applied after us who have then been transferred, and approved. Should I be concerned it hasn't been transferred to our local office yet? Should I call? HELP!!!! I'm just horribly jealous and worried something could be wrong since it also hasn't even been touched since 12/20 (the day of biometrics)

Thanks ! :help:

We're in the same situation, i already got my EADcard but the AOS has no update since the last touch 12/26 after the biometrics. My papers are also at NBC which most cases have interviews. So, i am expecting to receive a notice of interview. I am also anxious to receive it since it makes me worry also due to its last touch 2 mos. ago. Lets keep waiting and hope for the best.

AOS seems to be a 5+ month or better process.... You are only in month 3, so I doubt your file is as "stuck" as you might think...

YMMV

We waited 4 months at MSC before being transferred to CSC. I was worried when it seemed that everyone else was getting transferred or appointment letters for interviews except us. Finally, 4 months later we were transferred to CSC. Unfortunately, seven months later we are still at CSC and waiting for our GC.

I don't know why most go through MSC quickly and others have to wait longer. We contacted our senator's office at that time and were told it was a preliminary security clearance that was holding it up.

Don't worry; you will get to the next step but I know the waiting sucks big time!

"True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at this moment. This inner alignment with Now is the end of suffering. Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility, no compassion. You would not be reading this now. Suffering cracks open the shell of ego, and then comes a point when it has served its purpose. Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary." Eckhart Tolle

Are you guys aware that AOS used to take YEARSSSSSS to be processed before. A few months wait is nothing. Don't worry.

And there are countless people who filed before you and are still waiting.

I would advise going there: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp?

And checking what date your local office is currently working on. Also know that the time your petition takes depends on your personal case.

An average of 6 months is what to be expected for most petitions. Sure some take a lot less, but on avergage it takes a while.

Look around the threads for those who filed before you, you'll see that some people have been waiting for an interview since April sometimes if not more.

So don't stress. Every now and then you can inquire about your case if you want, and do check the processing dates of your local office, if it goes over the date of your NOA, then you can start taking steps to make sur it's processed correctly, before that, the IO won't do a thing.

Lucky you. You are almost a month after us and are almost done. It seems like those of us out in Cali are taking the longest. Ours hasn't even been transferred or touched since 10/29/07. Only proves that they don't process the AOS as the receive them. Oh well :crying:

Funny if there is a backlog why are they churning them out of CSC (which is our local office!!) and ours is still at NBC? LOL

Okay I'll stop worrying now though. Thanks to all and sorry for the others who are also waiting!

Because CSC is not a local office. It's a Service Center. They sent to CSC some cases (no one knows on what bases) to process them, usually without interview. Los Angeles, Fresno, San Diego, those are local offices, not to mistake with CSC.

I was "stuck" () at the local office for 4 mos. before they've decided to transfer my case to CSC... Don't be so worried yet. Like some of us here said, AOS can take years especially if you got stuck (I mean really stuck) with FBI name check. If you're only been waiting for 3-6 months, you're still within the processing timeframe. Those who filed the same time (or later) you filed, they probably got approved right away because their local offices are not busy.
