Hi all!

Just wondering for clarification's sake if any of you that brought your fiance here from Egypt on a K1 visa had any problems with a one way ticket to the USA. I already bought a one way ticket, never even thinking that Ashraf would need a round trip ticket. He is 32 and has gotten his release from the military sooooooooooooo..... any thoughts? Do I need to buy a round trip ticket?? :help:

Thanks!

Buy what ever is less expensive. K-1 is an Immigrant Intent visa, a round trip ticket is not required. We used a one way ticket last year.

This is a FAQ:

4.10..I'm getting conflicting reports on what is required for a plane ticket to the U.S. I was told that you need to have a round trip ticket. Is that true?

Where talking about MENA countries, YuAndDan. They are bad about making up rules as they go along. Some have been required to have round trip tickets before they let them board the plane. I am thinking I remember someone from Morocco and Egypt was made to buy a round trip ticket.

Here is a thread about it.

Have the money ready to go. There was at least one person from Egypt who needed a roundtrip ticket on a K-1 visa unfortunately. I don't think they're consistent but it pays to have the money ready just in case.

Well again. ............ I will put my two cents in.......LOL. Ahmed has had his father call everyone.....the airlines and the military. He was told Ahemd would have to have a round trip ticket to ensure being able to board the plane. We are not sure what the reasoning is...but we know we are going with the round trip cuz after such a long wait we do not want anything to make him be denied boarding the plane. Good Luck to all!!
