I've found it impossible to do an "American" accent since being here... Although I probably found it impossible when back in the UK too

Mags - when she tries - sounds more American than I do. Actually, she sounds more "California Valley Girl" than "American".... It's hilarious, though. Especially since she acts all stupid and dingy when she does it, too.

Every once in a while I'll have a hard time understanding my husband's accent (Southern). And he has the same problem with mine too (British Canadian). We have to get each other to repeat what we've said over and over, and sometimes say the word(s) slower. Most of the time I just listen to him speak with a puzzled look on my face until the penny drops and I realize he's talking about something COMPLETELY different than what I THOUGHT he was talking about. Makes for some interesting conversations.

I managed to control the peeing, but leg humping and shedding are harder to break. People are always very polite about it though and Ive only been arrested a few times...
