I'm wondering if the USC notices their SO's accent still (depending on how long you've been together)? Or if you aren't the USC, does your SO comment on your accent?

I ask this because P is here visiting and whenever we're with friends or those who may not talk to him very often, people always comment on his accent. But I realized that I don't even notice it anymore unless he's very tired or for the few words that he pronounces in a "German" way (wacuum, anyone? or walley).

Just being nosey.

I don't notice my fiance's accent when we are speaking in English (even though to others he has one). But sometimes, when he says certain words, he says them very "Ghanaian".

When we start speaking in our local language then I am very aware of my American accent :P

I don't really notice his anymore, though to be honest he doesn't HAVE a very strong Scottish accent. It's weird, him and all his buddies sound pretty standard, and then basically EVERYONE ELSE in all of Scotland that I just hear on the street I can't even tell at all what they're saying, so muddled. His poor grandma has just kind of stopped trying to communicate with me :(

I still notice with certain words, too, and have to make fun of him...I think it was about five years before I heard the way he says "controversy," or 'con TROVVV ersy". honestly what is that.

:P

I don't even notice Neil's accent anymore. A year ago no one could understand him but now more people do so I think it isn't nearly as strong as when he first got here. Geordie accents are crazy anyways ask Alex

I am still hearing "coconut candle" in my head :P

But with Rey, I don't hear his accent anymore. That's just how he sounds. But at the same time, others say they hear NO accent at all, and I couldn't say that.

I still notice Mags' As many of you heard from our video, it's a lovely accent.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Nope, though the other night we got into an arguement because I thought he said floor, so I asked him a question about it, he didn't know what I was talking about, I thought he was being a brat... He was actually trying to say flaw. Haha, he totally can't say r's! No one can understand him at work though, but all the ladies love him anyways :)

The day I stop being charmed by that lovely lilt is the day I want somebody to cover me over with daisies............... :P

I think an Irish accent of any type could charm the socks off every lady. He could be using some low-class Dublin accent and pointing a gun to her head and asking for her money and calling her a c-word, and she'd probably still fall in love.

(Please don't yell at me for saying it!)

I love my Alla's accent. Her accent is part of what makes her her. After being together for almost 5 years and living together in Russia for one, I can say, I never misunderstand her.
