Form 1040 & 1099 question

Hi to all,

I got few questions here again & this is regarding documents I need to present during my interview. My fiance is self-employed and he is done filing his Form 1099 for 2007. Is this form already sufficient? Does he need to send me Form 1040 too? I am somewhat confused about this and I like to know what is appropriate. Do these forms need to be notarized? Info in this matter is very much appreciated. Thanks!

hi! basing on my experience before, my husband is also self-employed (owns a business), and what we had then is only his 2004 and 2005 1040, plus 2004 and 2005 1120S... im not sure what kind of ITR is your fiance but i do believe he needs a 1040 just the same... good luck!!! God bless!!!

this is just base on my experience...

the 1099 is a statement showing money he was paid. the 1040 is the actual IRS Tax form. neither needs to be notarized.

If you do not need the 2007 taxes I believe you have until April before these are required. If you need the 2007 income to meet 125% of poverty level our just want the latest income information then you can include them. For the previous year's proof of income I would suggest sending the tax transcripts. The tax transcripts are all you need with no W2 forms, 14040s, or 1099s needed to backup income.

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

Thanks for sending the link. The info I read says they deliver the tax transcripts in 2 weeks. I think we will not be able to catch up for my interview schedule if we will make the request now. Is 1099 enough to back-up my fiance's 2007 income?
