Hello,

Thank you for your support.

So far nothing has been canceled so I am trying to keep working on our case...

My file has a WAC number, and we had originally applied for K-3.

Along with a RFE we were offered to add a I-130 for each of the children and to ask for expedite process to go the CR-1 way.

We did and sent the children's files with the RFE back to California.

I used the "back of the check" trick to find out the cases numbers for each child.

Well first of all, when I tried to add them to the USCIS portfolio, I got this answer:

Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number

My first question is, how long does it take for cases to be recognised by the USCIS system?

Secondly, and this is what has me really confused now, the children have EAC numbers... when I have a WAC number, is that fine? But mostly, how did their files end up in Vermont when they were sent with the RFE to California?

Does anyone have an answer to those 2 questions?

Thank you again and best of luck to you all,

Christine.

I don't know if anyone can really tell you when your case will show up in the USCIS system. Its not that the system doesn't recognize it, its just that it hasn't been entered yet. I would gues if your checks were cashed that you should see your petition on the website sometime soon.

I really hope that you guys can make it through this!

All the best wishes! :)
