What number did you dial??? It would be great to me if I could really file it 6 months before my card expires!!!!

I used the freephone number on the website. I wanted to talk to a person but had to make do with a recorded message. I believe they said something about some events that happened a couple of years ago that had increased their backlogs.

Well, today I had a date for my biometrics appointment - 20th March!

Looks like filing a couple of weeks ahead of the 90 days they say on the website didn't hurt at all. The spoken message said anytime in the preceding 6 months. Then it said something about an influx from the Caribbean causing the delays.

That is interesting!

I had my biometrics appointment. Haven't heard back about the interview yet though - not a squeak!

That is good. What number did you call whose recorded message said you can file before 90 days?

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
