To all my friends here, one of executive of our company says he wants to write a letter to consulate to speed up the interview. Basically, I will be India 2nd/third week of March. He is hoping that interview will be at the same time such that I don't have to take time off again to bring my fiancee to USA. Would such letter or an e-mail from the executive to the consulate help?

I see the CO laughing at the request and ignoring the e-mail. I really don't think they are going to speed up the interview with a letter from your boss. Its hard enough for senators/congresspeople to request a beneficiary get an earlier interview date.

But who knows? They may be feeling generous that day and give it to you. Sending it can't hurt.

Why don't you just wait until you know when your fiancee's interview is to go to India?

Thanks guys for quick response. It's very hard for me to take time off. I am in a market driven job - finance/economics. With lots of arrangement, I am able to take some time off in March.

I will have hard time getting time off again to bring my fiancee. before he write to consulate, I wanted to check with you guys.

As others have said, no. Look at it as a silver lining though. If what you are suggesting actually did work, you would be constantly shoved behind someone else whose CEO wrote them a letter. The system, such as it is, is at least fair and mostly free of outside influence.

I don't think the letter will work, however you do not need to be with your fiancee when she comes to the US. It is possible for her to cross on her own if you are unable to accompany her.

Sorry there aren't easier options! We've all been through the endless waits and frustrations!

Thanks Mark&Ashley. She has never traveled outside of India although she has been in many metro cities. She would like me to accompany her.

My boss finds it very difficult to see me taking time off. We are manage client's portfolio, and I can hardly take more than 2 days off. He wants to tell his point to consulate.

I have to live with you suggested. Explain my fiancee to come on her own.

I think this is precisely the way that the consulate will view this. I also agree with mox. If many means of expedition were possible many would be trying it and it would just confuse and slow down the general order of things.

I think, at least at consular stage, your interview will be scheduled behind those who returned Packet 3 before you. Having said this, I believe that the London embassy may try to accommodate people according to the date of travel designated on one of the forms you return with Packet 3 (can't remember which one it is now). There is no guarantee of that but it is the best you can hope for. Good luck!

The answer is big NO, the CO do not care for CEO, senator or congress man other than it is an emergency. It is not that difficult for you finace to travel by her self, just give her a little guidence and courage, she can make it as my fiance will be doing the same thing.
