I am British, currently employed by a University in England but have spent a lot of the last 18 months in the Dominican Republic collecting data. Does anyone know if I am required to get a police check from the DR? I think I am still officially a resident in the UK....

Thanks!

K-1's are required to get a police certificate if they have resided in a country 6 months or more.

You can find me on FBI

I have not been in the DR for as long as 6 months at any one time though it adds up to more than this over two years....???? I am definately not a resident in the DR though I have rented a house here. In the mean time I use my parents address in Scotland as a base.. I should probably get one just in case...... sounds easy from the website you gave me on my question re Vanuatu police checks.

Thanks again
