hey all,

Ok, so i have my medical at knightsbridge in london tomorrow. And i am just wanting to know what to take, and what to expect and would appriciate peoples experience.

the list i have to take is:

passport

1 passport style photo

medical questionairre

payment

case number (taking the interview apporintment letter)

is there anything else?

I don't have my vaccination records and was wondering, how do they find out what you already have? can they do that from a blood test? surely they don't just take my word for it as to what i have had. I was wondering if i get them in the US does it have to be an approved USCIS doctor in the US too? I was planning on getting them in the US so i could spread them out over a few months, and cheaper too. rather then getting 10 shots in london at £30 each.

Also i hate hospitals and would like to know what to expect. is the UK medical bad or easy? are they nice? how many needles do they have to stick in you? does anything hurt? do you have to get naked while the examine you?

any experiences would be appriciated.

finally my interview is on wednesday next week so my results might not get there in time. can they approve it pending the results, and then will they just send me my visa in the post when they get it? or will i have to go to london again?

thanks in advance

The documents you have ready are correct.

You could get your vaccinations at your GP for free.

Your medical results take about 4 dyas to get to the embassy, so you should be fine. My husband had his interview & medica on the same day and they told him he ws approved, so long as the medical was good.

P.S. At the top of the UK forum is a thread dedicated to the UK medical experience. Also, if you do a quick search in this forum, you will also find many individual threads about recent medicals. Bottom line, its not bad, you only have to get half naked and no jabs, unless you ask for them.
