The days have been lovely over the last week or so :) I was looking out at the garden yesterday evening ( the puppies were being daft ) and there they were....... THE HUMMINGBIRDS ARE BACK !! :D

21/12/2005 arrive in time for Christmas with my baby !!

18/02/2006 We are married in Coeur D'Alene !!

16/05/2006 AOS and EAD sent off to the windy city. ( day 1)

27/05/2006 NOA's received...woo hoo !! ( day 12 )

09/06/2006 Appointment letter for biometrics arrives ( day 25 )

30/06/2006 Biometrics 11am at Spokane ( day 46 )

22/07/2006 Appointment letter for AOS interview arrives (day 68 )

04/08/2006 Without any warning.....EAD card arrives in the post !! ( day 81 )

24/08/2006 AOS interview at 7.30 am ( day 101 )

24/08/2006 APPROVED !!!

28/08/2006 Welcome to America letter arrives...gee thanks guys !! ( day 105 )

02/09/2006 Green card arrives ...woo hoo !! ( day 110 ) We can relax until 2008 :)

Yes, we saw some this past weekend in our garden too. Scared my husband to death..... flew right between his legs and he didn't know what they were until later. Two were chasing each other!!!!

I love this time of year on the West coast!!!!

I love hummingbirds. :)

When my husband and I were dating long distance, I'd always tell him how I'd get into "hummingbird phase" when he was coming, because I'd be so excited to see him, I'd be flittng all over, speaking really fast, unable to sit or stand still, heart racing...I never drank necter though...too afraid I'd drink a bee. ;)

I haven't seen a hummingbird here in months. They probably are sick and tried of the gloomy, cloudy weather. Where is the sun? :wacko:

same here....i plan on planting some hummingbird friendly flowers and bushes for them

Some hummingbirds stay year round here in Tucson. Most hummingbirds migrate to Mexico for the winter.

Birds that return to Tucson in the Spring include the Turkey Vulture and White Wing Dove, also I can't wait to go looking for the Trogon. Trogons are relatives of the Quetzel .

Another big event in the Spring/summer is the return of the Mexican Freetail bat that lives under the bridges at night 1,000 fly out from under the bridge and it's quit spectacular to see.

I seen hummingbirds for about a month now, I was sitting outside having a coffee and damn it flew right into my face and kept coming at me, i had a cup of coffee in my hand and yup that ended up all over me, did not know what was flying at me and scared the ###### out of me!!! My husband and mother in-law laughed so hard at me cause they would not leave me alone, i was wearing a jacket that had a red stripe and they liked that...
