NVC Still Doesn't Have Our File, Neither Does Embassy

Hi everyone,

After 243 days, my K1 was approved by the CSC on January 29-30, 2008. We received the hard copy NOA 2 a week later.

We've called NVC about three times, they don't have our file. I emailed the embassy in Vancouver, they don't have it either.

What's my next step? Wait one more week before calling the NVC, therefore following their guideline of 2-4 weeks for the file to be transferred?

Why is it I had to wait 2 hundred freaking 43 days for an approval and when it's supposed to be much quicker after the NOA 2, I have to wait another 3 weeks+ when most people's files are at the NVC within a week and off to halfway around the world to their embassies already? Why? WHY? I'm so close to the USA, it doesn't make sense none.

Please advise all you knowledgeable folks.

You can try call USCIS to see when it was sent ...

They as always can be tricky but it can help you get a better idea of timing.

Try the rfe trick to talk to someone.
