Employment verification

Hi all,

Well, we have our interview date. I'm sending the packet of information to my fiance today. I'm worried, however about the employment verification that I recevied from my work. I work at a university and the human resources dept has gone "paperless" and no longer uses actual stationery with a watermark. They simply have the "letterhead" in Word and it prints out on regular paper. Is this going to be a problem?

I dont think it will cose a problem , as long as there is a original signature on it

The employment letter we used was on regular paper with just a printed company letterhead from Word or something - exactly the same thing as your situation. It had an original signature on it though. We didn't have any problems whatsoever.

Printed letterhead is common enough today that it won't be a problem. Ensure an original signature and relevant contact information is on the letter. My employer also attached a business card, which I thought was a pretty good touch.

Thanks everyone! I was really worried and the HR person who wrote the letter is out today. I really need to send the stuff off. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time!

I would not worry. Many companies only use the expensive paper to pass around from board director to board director or to impress other companies. I have not seen watermarked paper in use for the common employees in a looong time. Most everyone just prints out forms from whatever printer is available.
