Im filling out all the relavant documents now but i have come across a hitch. The I - 693 , does that have to be filled out by a doctor here.

I had my medical in november of last year when applying for the K1 fiance visa and the only documents i got from the doctor was a medical report which includes everything he did that day. An xray of my lungs and chest and finally i have a piece of paper stating what shots i got that day. Is that enough? or will i have to go again to the doctor? That was sufficant for the US embassey in dublin.

I never had to fill out a 1-693a form or my doctor in dublin never had to fill one out.

Hi there,

Read this link here HERE.

It basically states that:

If you were admitted to the United States as a fiance(e) (K-1), child of a fiance(e) (K-2), Spouse of a U.S. citizen (K-3), or child of K-3 (K-4), and received a medical examination prior to admission, then you do not require another medical examination as long as your application for adjustment of status (Form I-485) is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. You will, however, be required to submit a vaccination supplement with our adjustment of status application. The vaccination supplement must be completed by a designated civil surgeon.

You can find designated civil surgeons HERE. Call a few to get a good price. You will need to bring the copy of your Vaccination Worksheet from Ireland to show proof of vaccines given.

Some people haven't sent off anything, some have sent off a copy of the Vaccination Worksheet (from the medical abroad) and some have gotten and sent off the Vaccination Supplemental (I-693a). It depends on if you want to run the risk of an RFE and a delay to your AOS being processed.

We decided to get the Vaccination Supplemental and are now in possession of our Green Card with no delays at all.

Whatever you decide, Best of Luck

Yes,i would agree with that.

You only need a Vaccination supplement filled out and completed by a Civil surgeon in the US. This should be submitted with the AOS package.
