The first lady I talked to a week ago just called back. She said that she pulled my file and the I-130 hadn't been sent to NVC yet. It sounds like it was just sitting there with nothing happening to it. She said she would forward on to the people that send it to NVC and said it should take about 2 weeks.

Hello Ctygl,

Do you remember the name of the lady you spoke with? My K-3 and I-130 were both approved on Jan. 9 and my K-3 has yet to make it to NVC. I called USCIS to see what was going on because it should only take 2-4 weeks from approval to reach the NVC, and she said that most likely they didn't separate the K-3 from the folder with my I-130 in it and it was mistakenly sent to the National Records Center. She ordered my file sent back to them and said that could take about 2 weeks. I was going to call tomorrow because tomorrow marks two weeks and I have not heard from them yet. When she called, how did the number show up on your caller ID? Just curious, so I know what to look for if they actually call me first.

Thanks for your assistance in advance,

Deb

I call using the "RFE trick". Dial 1-800-375-5283. Hit prompts in this order 1-2-2-4 (RFE)-2-1-enter Receipt #, and then hit 1 to verify. This forwards you directly to the California Service Center to talk to a live person. Hope this helps.

Yes, that was the lady I talked to 2 weeks ago. Her name is Becky and there have been many negative posts about this lady, although she was very nice and helpful the day I talked to her. Hopefully, I will get some positive news from them tomorrow about my case like you did.

Deb
