Replacement SSN Card

Hi Guys!

I had a previous US Visa and so have already been issued with a SSN.

Unfortunately I've lost the physical SSN card, although I do have the SSN itself.

To get married in my fiance's county they require the actual SSN card.

I'm visiting my fiance next week, mid-application for just 7 days.

And won't be back until just before the wedding (hopefully)

Ok, so (finally) heres my question.

Can I apply for a replacement SSN card while visiting on a VWP?

Thanks in advance!

Jo

SSA will need a reason to issue a new card, that would be showing something that make you work authorized.

A K-1 visa will get you the replacement card. Just wait until you have the K-1 and then apply for the replacement card after entry on the K-1.

Actually, it is not the K1 visa itself which will get you the replacement card; it'll be the K1 and the valid I 94 in your passport.
