A very belated congrats to you Trailmix and I greatly appreciated Hubby's fantastic review, it was very well-written. Hubbymix showed the kind of even-temperedness that it takes to deal with the pricks, I mean security that work the door. Kudos to him. He managed to come back with the gold errr...green. That's all that matters. Wish he would have hurdled that baby in the stroller, that whiny brat really had it coming to him.

It's interesting, he did kind of have a plan before he went there, as flames always says about crossing the border, he had decided he would be keeping all of his answers short and to the point and answering just yes or no where he could.

BTW his interviewer was a gentleman in his 50's - 60's with grey hair - not mr movie phone voice.

One other thing I wanted to mention.

I just went through the documents and basically we submitted 3 originals to NVC. Our marriage certificate, my Husband's birth certificate and my divorce certificate.

Of these three originals we got 1 back - his birth certificate.

They gave us back a photo copy of our marriage certificate and nada on the divorce certificate, although the interviewer mentioned to Mike that they would send the copy of the divorce certificate back (Mike says it was a photo copy as well, not the original).

So anyway, just wanted to let you know that you won't necessarily get your originals back!

When Hubbymix activates I believe that's the last time you can get originals back before you need to request them using G-884. I agree with Flames9, answer the question asked. Don't offer any more info than you are asked. I've found that it works in most legalistic scenarios, especially with those in authority or in court. Unless they ask your parents how they met. :bonk: For some reason I think Flames9 interview went like something out of Dragnet.

Oh and just wanted to mention in this thread that my Husband's visa just arrived in the mail!

I don't know who the older gray haired CO is at Montreal, but he is very nice - and efficient!

Was that something you learned when questioned about the decaying bodies? Just askin.
