I think things are getting better at the USCIS office in Vermont. There are many reports of people getting there second NOA after only 90 days. But I also know that there are many people that will wait much longer that that.

My question is this. Does the USCIS office update there on-line web information. I check to see if there is any change to the application status. But I have not seen any change. All it ever says is pending. If they never update the website. I guess I should stop looking. I was just wondering if any of your guys ever got your NOA in the mail before you saw an update on-line.

My other question is. Does anyone know how long it takes the USCIS to approve your papers? I know how long to wait. I was just wondering if anyone knew how long if you didn’t account for your application just sitting around.

O, and one more thing. Dos anyone have a story about meeting an employee from the USCIS office. I sure if I met one. I would have a few things on my mind.

Thanks

Tim

They usually update daily, although there are people who have received NOA2 that have never had their online status updated.

Look at the "Immigration Timelines" menu at the top of the page to get an idea of approval rates. Also, it would really help everyone else if you would update your timeline. Instructions in my sig.

The people who work at USCIS are people just like you and I. They unfortunately work within a system that is broken, under the management of a director who doesn't care. You can get a first-hand account of what it's like being in the "pit" by reading a Q&A with a former adjudicator.
