For suggesting a plastic bag to quiet a crying baby. Then telling someone to quit taking things so seriously. I think the choice of words might have had something to do with it.

Wow... and that was supposed to be funny? I'm pretty sure the baby's parents didn't think so. A quite disgusting comment.

Peace out.

What baby are you talking about? Have we given this fictional baby a name?

wasn't the thread about getting his *REAL* baby to stop crying? or do I just have no clue what's going on?

I didn't really read the thread. I just made a quip that went completely unappreciated.

I do this all the time, but with conversations, I just walk in and say something crude about someones dead grandma by accident, not even realizing what the conversation is about. It's terrible. I really need to stop doing that.

I actually saw that movie a couple weeks ago. I didn't watch the whole thing, as it was pretty uninteresting, but that was my first time actually seeing it.

A cry in the dark...that was a pretty funny movie.

Sadly it wasn't supposed to be but it was.

Every time I meet a person from Australia I ask about dingo/baby relations.

I actually had a friend do that to me one time. Right after my grandmother died, he made a dead grandma joke as his entry into the conversation. It was really funny. I had to convince him that I wasn't offended by it. Then he was quiet for the rest of the night.

You were suspended?

You know it, dawg.

Why?

For suggesting a plastic bag to quiet a crying baby. Then telling someone to quit taking things so seriously. I think the choice of words might have had something to do with it.

I suspect that it was the choice of words. Also, dead baby jokes were more popular in the 80s, if I remember correctly.

So was Mel Brooks, but I still find him hilarious.

Yea I walked in on this...

"Well the grounds frozen, so you can't bury anyone when the grounds frozen"

Me: "Just stuff them in the freezer!"

Yea didn't go over well. But I didn't know we were talking about my co-workers granny. I walked in on that one part.

Perhaps you could spearhead the revival. You may want to pick your audience more carefully, though. :)

I'm sure you can request the reason for the suspension. My suspicion is that it wasn't the bag suggestion (which I admit I snickered at) but your subsequent defense of it, which perhaps constituted a personal attack.

The "personal attack" was noted in the e-mail I received about the suspension.
