NEW YORK—After suffering defeats in Wisconsin and Hawaii yesterday, Sen. Hillary Clinton came home to a supportive audience in Manhattan today and told upcoming Democrat primary voters it was time to “get real” about rival Sen. Barack Obama’s record and rhetoric.

...

“It is time to get real, to get real about how we actually win this election and get real about the challenges facing America. It’s time that we moved from good words to good works, from sound bites to sound solutions,” she said.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Issue wise, McCain, Obama, and Hillary are not that far apart.

McCain is killing himself by supporting an unpopular war, and for a continued deployment of some kind in Iraq. That and our current financial woes work against the Republicans.

Hillary is killing herself by attacking everyone. In politics, you have to deal with people you don't agree with. If you just attack them, instead of compromise with them you will only serve to further polarize the country, and likely not be very successful in bringing any changes.

Obama is the one in the race with the least amount of "experience", but that also does work to his advantage. He is seen as someone who will get away from the dirty business as usual politics. Also the person most likely to bring together such a ideologically divided country.

We don't need a leader who campaigns promising xyz, because most of the time they can't deliver it anyway. We simply need a leader that can work to bring the country back in the right direction from the detour that we have taken in the past 7 years.

Why do you say he's killing himself with this?

Those are perfect examples of sound bites. Why won't Hillary move away from them rather than just talking about moving away from them? So yeah, let's get real.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The war has dragged on a lot longer and is cost much more than it was promised. There are still people who support it, but most want to get out. The only reason you haven't heard more about it in this election is that the economic issues have taken center stage. McCain has professed not knowing much about economics. If it was the president, he would likely put in place people that would continue the mistakes Bush made. Maybe correct some of them, but we as a nation wont be that much better off.
