I'm not sure about this because we just filed for AOS too. I already have Biometrics schedule but case is not transferred yet to CSC. I thought they will transfer it after bio? When did you file your AOS?

Hi Di!

A transfer of AOS file to California Service Center (CSC) is not really "Normal", but it is a good thing. Most people that get transferred to CSC are sent there because they will be issued their Green Card without having to go through an AOS interview at the local office. I read that CSC can still return it and request an interview be held, but that is not the usual case. Congrats!

Some cases are transferred to CSC prior to biometrics. Scott's right, they usually transfer it there for an approval without interview but there are cases too where CSC returns it to the local office (which means the interview is really necessary).

Not all cases are transferred to CSC even if you had the biometrics done... just those who filed in local offices which are swamped with too many applications. One of the reasons too why a case goes to CSC for approval without interview is when the case is so simple (which means no red flags shooting here and there) and pertinent documents are all there. And like I said above, when a case is transferred to CSC, they can always transfer it back to the local office if they want.

Good luck to all of you!

We received our notice of receipt (NOA) January 18 but until now we still have no Biometrics appointment. Comparing to the other January AOS filers here where most either have their biometrics done or already have their biometrics schedule , we are starting to get worried. We didnt get any notice of RFE so we assume all our documentation are in order.

Any thoughts about this delay?

Thanks,

Joe and Myla
