U dont need engagement party or ring either.as long u didnt claim it that u had one when in fact u didnt have it.

I myself didnt ask my fiance to give me ring. And i believe we will be fine on the interview.

You dont really need to prove engagment, filing for fiance petition if proof enough that your engaged. Just make sure you have lots of sufficiant evidence youve been together in person in the last 2 years.

Welcome to VJ and good luck

Also, get knowledgable with the guides...only saying bc your fairly new, they are extremely helpful :)

Ditto that. Just be sure to include a statement of intent from both parties to be wed.

Your signed declarations of intent to marry, filed with your petition along with the petition itself are all the evidence you'll ever need that you are engaged. All that means is that you've agreed to marry.

No concentrate on showing evidence your relationship is bona fide and ongoing. That's the issue at interview.

Must agree with the above. My fiance and myself have opted to hold off on the engagement ring due to funds. We want to make sure we can afford it all. So we are going to do the rings after the fact once he's nice and safe and here in my arms.

It never hurts to send 1 or 2 things with the petition, i wouldnt tell them to keep it ALL for the interview. I like adv'ing adding a couple pics with the petition, a bit of a piece of mind. IMO
